Plus, veggie and tofu fried rice with squash and red cabbage on the side. Sesame seeds and coconut sugar were really nice additions in the veggie fried rice.
And the nicest bit – not one but two flavours of homemade ice cream! We made mint chip with local organic cream, and chocolate with coconut milk and coconut cream. Sunday was (finally!) a warm spring day here, and we were able to sit on the porch comfortably in short sleeves for the first time. It was glorious after the last few weeks of April snow, ice, and freezing rain.
